Is HCG the New Weight Management Solution
in the Dallas, Plano and Arlington Areas?

Get Accurate Information from a Leading Authority in the Field

Hirsch Clinic - Albert Hirsch, Jr., M.D.
Established 1982

Although HCG is becoming more widely-known in the Dallas, Plano and Arlington areas, the use of HCG for diet and weight loss has existed for some time. Utilized for more than 50 years, HCG has actually been a widely accepted weight loss tool in other countries. The use of HCG for weight loss has been an almost forgotten science in the United States for over four decades. The FDA did not see a need to approve HCG for weight loss in 1975, even though a physician named ATW Simeons, who had studied HCG for weight loss for 16 years in Italy, published his work in 1970 that clearly demonstrated HCG’s effectiveness in helping people lose fat quickly. Obesity was not a medical issue at that time, but infertility was; so HCG was approved only for fertility, studies of HCG for weight loss were not allowed, and a disclaimer about the lack of evidence for HCG assistance with weight loss was required. Now obesity is the single most important medical challenge facing us today, yet it seems that from some medical perspectives, we’re still back in 1975.

Can the HCG diet have dangerous side effects? Can the use of HCG for weight management lead to serious medical problems, if not properly supervised by a physician?
Absolutely! YES. HCG, when used in larger doses (as in fertility treatment), can have a couple of serious, though rare complications. Also, many other medical conditions and bodily functions can be altered, becoming potentially dangerous for the patient (even at the very small doses used for weight loss). Many local HCG weight loss clinics in the Dallas, Plano and Arlington area claim to have “medical supervision,” but this is frequently untrue. The “physician” has merely allowed the “clinic” to use his signature to obtain HCG, but has no direct patient involvement, has never even evaluated or treated patients at all (such as an anesthesiologist, radiologist, pain management clinic, etc.), and knows little to nothing about HCG Weight Loss. Interestingly, some of these clinics have even purchased Dr. Hirsch’s HCG weight loss protocol, but are unable to utilize it in a manner that is both safe and optimally successful for their patients. Some even claim credit for the research and refinement.

Dr. Hirsch has remained adamant for years regarding the unsafe use and distribution of “HCG Drops,” sometimes marketed as homeopathic, to individuals who desperately want to lose weight. Although banned and designated as illegal by the FDA earlier this year, December 2011 brought the announcement from the Food and Drug Administration of its official warnings to companies who produce and sell these illegal products (click here to read more). Enforcement has begun. The FDA only supports the use of medically supervised, prescription, injectable HCG, which Dr. Hirsch has exclusively recommended and prescribed for years. The drops are still on shelves, but provide no fat loss benefit, other than placebo.

Dr. Hirsch has served as a Primary Care Physician in the Dallas area for over 30 years. Prior to becoming comfortable with the use of HCG for weight loss, Dr. Hirsch conducted a fourteen-month study with 50 test subjects that revealed several potential medical problems that were not available in any previous literature. Dr. Hirsch knows how to address and prevent them. Pre-Program Lab Work, a Physical Exam, and Medical History Review not only allow for proper modifications to current patient medications, but signal precautions to avoid any problems. Dr. Hirsch may be the only doctor in the Dallas area who knows how to deal with these issues. He treats many patients who have experienced problems with other HCG programs and are told “maybe they should see a doctor!”

Why should I choose an HCG program like Dr. Hirsch would recommend?
Most HCG plans only offer an HCG weight loss program along with unnecessary & costly B12 or “Lipotropic” injections & “appetite suppressants,” which merely increase a clinic's profits and can harm patients. Dr. Hirsch, although trained in Surgery, specializes in Preventive Medicine, so patients have their entire health status evaluated as well. So, your health, your metabolism, your longevity, your overall wellbeing, body composition and more are all addressed in order to determine if you are a candidate to safely use HCG. The 2nd six weeks of "Transition," which is included and follows the HCG portion of the program, teaches patients how to manage their weight without HCG.

Here is Keith from Arlington, Texas - Before...and after losing 126 pounds! His wife also participated in Dr. Hirsch's weight loss program, and lost 82 pounds! No gimmicks, surgery, diet pills, or "lipotropic" medications - just solid medicine from an expert in the field.

Medical Doctors in the United States, not just in Dallas, Plano, and Arlington frequently prescribe medications “off label” (not as the FDA originally intended), as they are ethically required to do what is best for their patients. HCG (the “pregnancy hormone”, not “growth hormone”) is a very potent appetite suppressant. More important, however, is the way it mobilizes stored “bad” fat when a patient goes on a proper caloric restriction diet. The body uses this fat as fuel, and a bloodstream “full of fuel” further suppresses one’s appetite. The Hirsch Clinic HCG Protocol, (created by Albert Hirsch, MD with his Nutritionist during a 14-month trial with 50 test subjects), including the “allowed foods”, has been customized to maximize effectiveness and improve patient compliance. The information previously available was outdated, inaccurate and too complicated. This copyrighted protocol was sold in 2009 and multiple variations are now being used at the dozens of local HCG weight loss centers that have appeared in the last few years. Interestingly, the largest clinic (with 11 locations & the most highly visible advertising) is no longer in business.

Can Dr. Hirsch enhance results of any of his weight management programs?
Often, yes. Many patients enter an HCG program with a metabolism that is not functioning optimally. Dr. Hirsch is highly skilled in the art of Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy. Proper history & lab tests will reveal these imbalances. When the metabolism is in balance, the rate of fat loss with the HCG program is maximized. With a medically supervised program, patients typically safely lose 4-7 pounds a week, without the loose skin usually associated with rapid fat loss, because skin turgor (elasticity) is also enhanced.

All this, without surgery or significant amounts of exercise.

HCG HAS NOT BEEN APPROVED BY THE FOOD AND DRUG ADMINISTRATION AS SAFE AND EFFECTIVE IN THE TREATMENT OF OBESITY OR WEIGHT CONTROL.  THERE IS NO SUBSTANTIAL EVIDENCE THAT HCG INCREASES WEIGHT LOSS BEYOND THAT RESULTING FROM CALORIC RESTRICTION, THAT IT CAUSES A MORE ATTRACTIVE OR ‘NORMAL’ DISTRIBUTION OF FAT, OR THAT IT DECREASES THE HUNGER AND DISCOMFORT ASSOCIATED WITH CALORIE-RESTRICTIVE DIETS.
